2PAR4 is a Vancouver-based producing founded by Esther Duquette and Gilles Poulin-Denis. 2PAR4's mandate is to develop, produce, and tour contemporary work for the stage in French, English or in both official languages, and to contribute to the development of performing arts at large. By creating new work centred on artistic collaboration, 2PAR4 aims to diminish the distances and other barriers that divide artists from different communities.

Mandate: 2PAR4 is one of BC’s only companies producing work in both official languages. Specifically, its mandate is to:

  1. create and produce new and contemporary works for the stage;

  2. work with and encourage co-operation and collaboration with artists and arts organizations provincially, nationally, and internationally;

  3. contribute to the development of the performing arts in British Columbia and in Canada;

  4. present works in either French, English, or in both official languages;

  5. offer artist development, training, and consulting opportunities to artists and cultural organizations.
